What we build
One company designs it, builds it, and keeps it looking right.
Archterra runs both sides of the work under one roof: a design and construction division and a landscape management division that maintains what it builds. Our own crews handle every job, start to finish. No subcontractors, so the people who cut the grade are the same people who come back to trim it.
That is the practical reason to hand a property to one company rather than a designer, a paver crew and a maintenance outfit working from three different plans. Read the questions we get asked most on the FAQ page, or more on the company on the about page.
The eight service areas

Design and build
Landscape Design & Installation
The full plan before anything is dug: grading, drainage, beds, plantings, sod, hydroseeding and synthetic turf, drawn to work as one system rather than assembled piece by piece.

Hardscape
Paver & Hardscaping
Driveways, patios, pool surrounds and the walkways between them, set on a base built to hold its line through a wet Puyallup winter instead of heaving by spring.
Learn more →
Structure
Retaining & Rock Walls
Block walls, rock walls and boulder rockery that hold a cut slope and turn it into level, usable ground, engineered for the clay and the winter wet underneath it.
Learn more →
Water
Water Features
Waterfalls, ponds, basalt columns and rock bubblers, plumbed and set into real rockwork so the feature reads as ground that was always there, not a kit dropped on top of it.
Learn more →
Light
Outdoor LED Lighting
Path, step and facade lighting laid out so the walls, the plantings and the way to the door still work after dark, wired in as part of the build rather than bolted on after.
Learn more →
Water supply
Irrigation Installation & Repair
Zoned irrigation, backflow testing, spring start-up and winterization. It rains here, and the summer still dries a lawn out without a watering schedule behind it.
Learn more →
Living space
Outdoor Living
Fire pits and fireplaces, outdoor kitchens, decks, fencing and seating built to be used, not just photographed, on a lakefront patio or a backyard the same as it goes anywhere else.
Learn more →
Grounds
Landscape Maintenance
Mowing, bed care, seasonal cleanups and irrigation upkeep from the crews who already know the property, for residential, multifamily and commercial grounds year-round.
